Proton Cons People!

It has been 1 1/2 years since I have updated my blog. I have decided to break the silence today because I am dead bored at work. Yes! Yes! I have finally finished studying and I don't intend to continue at this moment especially not in UNITEN. 7 years is way too long to be there! Its been a good one year so far at work. Learning a lot and making a new circle of friends.

So being a fresh grad, I had not much of choice but to choose our local car manufacturer. I am not complaining about my car as it has served me well the past 2 years...but I don't think I would ever want to get a proton again because they have such poor service. The warranty ended recently and decided to take it to a "kedai bawah pokok" which is how my collegues address it as. When I got there, it was to my horror that the transmission oil which was changed during my last service had a high carbon build-up. The mechanic asked me whether I was sure it was changed and me being the blur me...i said of course la last service tukar. Then he asked me whether i saw them changing it...and i was like...err....saya letak kereta kat service centre lepas habis service, pergi ambil balik. Then he went on saying, do you know at some proton service centre, the bill you for the oil but they don't change it. I was shocked!! Well, I guess at any service centre, be it proton or "kedai bawah pokok"..the moment they see a gal walking into the shop...they will con us into changing everything.

So the moral of the story is
1) not to buy a proton

2) try not to be blur when going to a mechanic shop :)

Thank God!

One semester has been completed and I have just started my new semester. Looking back, I really thank God for the results He gave me. After completing my studies, everything fell into place perfectly. Although I had different plans but somehow He brought me back in uni and i know He knows whats best.
Being in uni again, made me re-think about a lot of things. Why am I here again? What should I do differently this time? I feel OLD to be back! ahaha. But above all this I began to realize slowly that there is a purpose I'm back. My perception on certain things have been changed for the better and being a more positive person is slowly but surely sinking in.
Without me realizing, I have actually been sharing with quite a number of people. Getting to know people that I would have never got to know if I had left. And I found myself relating to people in a different way. Nevertheless it still makes me feel old!Haha :) It has not only made me widen my group of friends but it has made me realize that its not just us in this place, 'living happily in a bubble'-disassociating the rest.
Listening to them, made me realize that God puts us through troubles for a purpose. Coz if I didn't go through it, I definitely could not relate to them. We may not see it now but sooner or later we will realize it. I miss my group of friends-my comfort zone,my 'bubble' but we are all moving on and have different lives to live. But meeting them back is always good and it just feels like before,no awkwardness,no silence-just full of laughter and good thoughts and kutuk-ings. Everything just clicks and it feels like nothing ever changed.
All in all, when things get tough and when there are times you feel that there is no purpose to be here...and then u speak to a person by coincidence and somehow u made the person feel better...that itself is a purpose of you being placed there...:)

Its been....

Three months since you left this world to be in a better place. I can't believe how fast time flew and it was just when I reminded you what flowers I wanted for convo and before I knew it you were gone...Standing there today, brought back lots of memories. Ones that will be cherished. Life is so fragile and we never know when our time is up.. We who are left to complete our race have to complete it at our best. I'm sure that's what Gary did. There is a loss that we all feel, the passing of our dear friend has changed us all in some way. God gives and God takes in His perfect timing.
This got me thinking about how I usually take things for granted and 'expecting' things to fall in place. We have to be thankful for all the things that He has provided and thankful for all His blessings towards us. Waking up everyday itself is a blessing!
There will be moments where we can't hold our tears back and yet deep down we rejoice knowing that you are in a better place. Its something hard to accept, the parting so soon but knowing that we will all meet again someday comforts us. There will be ups and downs, good days and bad days but through it all we know we serve an AWESOME God.
We lost a dear friend,we miss the time hanging out with him, cheering for he and his football team and getting bullied by him but above all he left this world with a legacy because he lived his life for Jesus. Rest in peace my dear friend...

Ups n Downs...

Thinking that I have completed my uni life and got my scroll I would be working somewhere and wouldn't be able to be in uni so often...BUT guess what...somehow I ended up continuing my studies at my beloved university. Something that I never expected to do when I was in degree. It was all about completing it and work....but I guess, above all our plans down here...HE knows whats best for us.
Doing masters is not the same like how it was in degree, I suppose it is because there are many familiar faces and friends who have been with us since foundation. Its a new step altogether and it just feels different. One semester is already coming to an end, I can't believe how fast time flies. And its back to preparing for finals.....oh no.....
I'm not only studying but I'm teaching tuition and I actually enjoy what I'm doing. Its fun to teach and I enjoy the time I have with my students :)...(one group actually found out my blog link~haha..). They are super hyper and they always never fail to make me laugh. There are times when it was so difficult to get through the day but when I'm with them...teaching...and listening to their school stories, it somehow makes me feel better.
Its been a hectic 6months I must say. The moment I completed my final exams for my degree, I started teaching. At first it was just one student....then the number just grew..and grew...and grew...Its a good experience I must say and I like what I do... :)

Relieved??

Its finally over. A much awaited day? I'm not sure about that. But I did want to feel what is it like to be the audience. No tension, no stress......just chilll.....ahaha. Its a good feeling. Even though, I think I'm going to feel sad when I leave but there is like a big sense of relieve. I'm thankful for the people in the current committee and I'm happy and proud to see them take over with a fresh energy and all fired up for Him! **emo moment**

While I type this, I'm telling this particular someone how the semester has passed so fast. Its when were are enjoying is when we don't realize how time passes us by. It has indeed been an exciting semester for me thus far. I still have a few more weeks before it officially ends. Oh noooo....!!! What's next? Work?? Hoping someone would hire me soon....yada yada yada. I bet you hear the same thing from all the final sem students.

Now I'm just focusing on ending my uni life on a high note. And of course finishing my thesis on time...haha...which is at the moment moving sellllloooowwwwwlllllyyyy.......Ok my bed is calling me. Got to go....ciao!!

Grad Nite

Its 3.05am and I can't sleep. Just had a COLLLLLDDDD shower after a WONDERFUL nite. It of course started with a rush because I had an exam to go for right before the dinner. The excitement for the dinner was kinda distracted. Anyway, I rushed and did my exam, all because of Grad nite...hahaa...Came back home and showered as fast as I could and waited while mum(yes! my mum came all the way from Kuantan) tied the saree for me *i really should learn how to tie it myself*.

I waited for my date at the Murni guardhouse,Yea rules are rules...guys can't come in, so had to wait there. But the moment I stepped into the car, he suprised me with flowers...I was like...awwwww.....so sweet...pink roses to be specific. He just knew what would make me melt...Then of course we convoyed to the 5/6 star hotel-Palace of the Golden Horses(and some ppl got lost on the way :P). Reached there and went round and round looking for parking...finally got one spot at sum weird leaking area.

When I stepped into the hall, I was amazed. Everyone was so dressed up, and I couldn't recognize some people with all the make up on. I think this is one of those nites where the uni students especially the gals go all out to look their best. The whole nite was fun, I think we were syok sendiri-ing a lot. But well, we are supposed to have fun...and we DID!

After the event, we adjourned to the famous MCD bangi (so says some ppl who practically live there! :P). We laughed and laughed and laughed because we had an entertainer with us. I think Patty had never laughed that much before. All in all it was a nite to remember....coz it was a fun event with fun people...and a sweet date ;)

Here are some pictures from my phone....im guessing more would be posted on facebook like really soon...

Sao Paolo

The striking color...ORANGE...the color for my favourite teams' jersey this year. Despite of not getting through to the finals, I think they played an awesome game. To me...they are still the best!! (awww....gary should pay me for this)...hahhaaha. Anyway, its so much fun cheering for them especially when we are in a big group. I think the best time was when 'someone' made the banner for them :). I was so stressed during the match that I could feel the heat from my own face...yea..i know scary...but Joshua found it funny. I think its more stressful than having to sit for final exams! I'll be back next year...hopefully...just to watch them...and scream for them! Wohooooo!! Sao Paolo!!!! No 8(is the Man)!!! No 87(runs super fast)!! No 13(dun like to run)!! milin(cekap goal keeper)!!!! weeee......No 9(awesome footwork)!! No 11 n No 1(cun hairstyles)!!No 10(is a pro) hahaha...so you see, this is what us supporters talk about u :)

Got thru Quarter finals !!

3-0 that's the final score for today's match, Sao Paolo against...err...the blue team...dunno who!! haha..Anyway the point is they won!! Weee... :). It was a pretty wet match..it was fun to see the players fall here and there coz of the puddles of water.(so mean rite?). I guess besides listening to the opponent team supporters 'kutuk', all we could do is observe these funny things happening on the field. We(the supporters of Sao Paolo) were pretty quiet from the beginning coz there were so few of us. I began to scream when the match was over. Yea I know, chicken...but well being there and supporting is the most important role of the supporter...not merely by screaming but by the presence...ahahha...Okok...talking to much about the supporters. I wish Sao Paolo all the best for the next game.....Go gary! Go!!!!!! :)

Finale Of Christmas Nite 08'

We finally had our post mortem for "2000 Years Ago...". I can't believe that I have been part of 5 Christmas Nites. I feel old!! Everyone presented their reports, correction most of us presented our reports...:P. It was a good to look back and run through what happened during preparation and also on the day itself. Reminded each other what we should do and should not do the next year..hopefully it will be helpful for the next committee. The moment of joy and the Christmassy feeling came back for just a bit. But now back to reality..It has finally ended. Which also means, I am a step closer to complete my uni life. I thought I would be happy but being part of Techflow is gonna make me not so happy when its time to leave.(No wander some ppl just never leave :P). Anyway, I'm looking forward to come back next year as an alumni... :)

A Nite to remember.....

22nd December 2008-Monday,Dewan Seri Sarjana(MPH),was a nite to remember. Techflow's 6th Christmas Musical Play. Preparations began from the first semester and this year's play came with the title "2000 Years Ago...". I was so confident that I would be acting in the play, but I thought wrong.

A much awaited day finally arrived, as most of us were busy doing last minute things. It always seems that there is something to do at the very last moment. Besides, I think we work best under pressure which leads to other people having stress for us delaying things :). The event started a lil late due to unforseen circumstances. Everyone was excitedly waiting to watch the play. There were lots of cheers during the play & some came from the front row itself :P...haha.

To end the whole event was the performance by the Stepping Stones kids. It really touched my heart to see them. I just Thank God that everything went on smoothly. It was simply AWESOME! I think I don't have to say much...I guess those who attended can understand what I mean. Thank you everyone for all your support & contribution in making this Christmas Nite a success!!

Here are some pictures which i managed to curi from aggy.....yes yes...posing pictures...what we do best :) There are more pictures on facebook!

Suprise Suprise!!

30th December 2008,1-ish am, after a good BBQ at my beloved Techflow advisor's home,I was suprised by my good friend who finds it really difficult to keep a secret but she managed to this time! Haha! Yes, I got my Christmas present from my beloved friend Agnes and my Mummy!! Wondering what it is?? Its a phoneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Yeay!! Hehe...best christmas gift ever...I was so suprised that I was speechless and all I could say was.."Awwwww.....awwww....awwww...." You wanna know how many times I said it? You can contact Adeline.

Anyway, the phone on the left, which has served me well was my old pink motorola phone..I know many people would be cursing the phone, but its the longest phone I have ever used and lately it has been sick..**drum roll**And presenting the phone on the right is my new PINK sony ericsson phone...yes yes another pink phone...hehehe...but I LIKE :).
Still getting used to the new phone, so my sms-ing is se-low(bear with me k?). And on Saturday I realized that I must brush up my skills of sms-ing with this phone while driving! haha..i could do it without looking at the phone with my motorola but I can't with this one anymore...I guess its just a matter of time. Anyway, the problem of calls not being able to come through or calls getting cut half way is finally SOLVED!!

At the plant

I went back to the plant yesterday, to get some work done for my final year project. The main entrance to the plant has changed. The guards were more friendly and they actually let me drive in so I didn't have to take the 20 minute walk. As you can see, I have got more lazy over the holidays which is ending soon.
As I was getting down from the car, I heard someone calling my name real loud from the canteen. I was suprised to be noticed that fast, maybe because I wore red. Haha...anyway it was Uncle X...he is the oldest at the office so we call him that. I walked in to the office and everyone was in a good mood. They just got back from their team building which was in Kuching(the land of Janice)...hehe :P. If only my internship was during this time, i would have managed to join them. They were updating me about their trip. It was fun to be back. There is a new german intern but unfortunately can't check the intern out coz this time its a girl!! The batch of german interns who were with me are all gone...sob sob....
Then of course I started with my analysis for my fyp. My boss(my ex-boss i mean) really gave me a lot of information and I was amazed with the amount of info he knew off hand. I mean, in his position he does not have to know all this but he takes the initiative to learn about it. And he is also a very hands on person. He knows a lot of technical details about the car. After going through the tests, we went for a drink. There he enlightened me about more things. I was really in awe. If I was going to be working in a car manufacturing company, I would want to be like him. He really knows his stuff.
He started working in a small company which manufactures parts for air-conditioning systems then he worked really hard and now he is with Daimler. He went to Germany for training and now he is the manager of Commercial Vehicles. Not forgetting he just received an award from the Sultan. He is one good example of a person who worked hard to get where he is at the moment. And being a well read person, he has been helping me a lot in my project. I'm really thankful to have him to help me thus far.
Talking to him has made me realize that the working world is not that far away from me. I have to start thinking about where I'm going to start my career and etc....I guess above all this worry, God knows whats best for me. I just pray that I get into something I like to do and I will be somewhere not so far from my psyco friends. I can't believe that this 1st of December I will be starting my final semester in Uni. I hope its gonna be the best :). I can't wait to be back!

Holidays!

I think I have never looked forward to getting back home this much before. Since I looked so much to going back fast, thanx to someone I could fly home :). And indeed it was fast, I think I reached so fast even Nina didn't get back to bed yet after sending me! It has been 5days since I have been back and lets just say nothing productive has been done except to make an appointment with my ex-boss. Haha...so basically I have been bumming around and probably bugging my parents and also my doggy.

I got the another 9days left before I get back to uni and I better make the best out of it. I'm yet to go to the beach. It has been raining every other day so can't lepak there. And the saddest thing is after my intern friends left, Kuantan seems to be pretty quiet for me. Mum says I should find something to do to keep myself from becoming to lazy if not it would be difficult for me when I get back to uni BUT i'm enjoying being lazy at the moment. Its the only time I can be lazy..during the holidays!! Haha.

Anyway, I have to go make a birthday card for my mum's boss. Hope it turns out well. Coz i'm not all that good in art. Hopefully will have pictures to show once I'm done with it. Till then!

Wed..thurs..fri..sat...

Last Wednesday, was emo Day for me. I don't know what got into me but I was kinda frustrated with everything around me especially during classes. Couldn't understand what the lecturers were teaching(ya...nothing new rite??) BUT it just really really really got to me this time. I mean we are paying soooooo much and we end up not understanding what is being taught. It is really irritating when they just read off the slides or the notes. We can do that too! Anyway, the person who listens to all this during class is phoebs...sorry that u have to hear my nyo-nyoings.
Thursday's bro and sis nite in Techflow was good. It started off in a heated conversation...sacarsm and "jokes" which are not so funny anymore. But like tim said 'we were making progress'. We finally came to a mutual understanding. I guess we are different and unique in our own ways. There is just no point in arguing who is better or worst coz we can just go on arguing. I could conclude it ended like how a positive therapy session would end. Everyone was happy. And to appreciate the sisters, our beloved brothers gave us bookmarks which they made. Thank you Nantha and Aaron!! I was lucky enough to get two bookmarks.
Friday morning started off in a rush coz I woke up late for class and was a little late for quiz. But it was okay la...we still managed to sit for it. After our short visit to Ilsas to see a real sized turbine, we went for lunch. Mum paksa-ed me to be vegetarian coz it was Onam. Miss those days when we used to have a variety of vege dishes for onam lunch and not forgetting the awesome payasam...yum yum. Nevertheless it was a fun lunch with my besties. Oh ya..then at nite it was fun playing badminton with the techies...hehe. The only thing I can remember from it is ramesh telling "hit higher...hit harder...goood goood....hit higher"...ahahhaha..Thanx ramesh for the training!! Oh oh..and of course the superb badminton skills of Peter and Paul....me and aggy were just perhiasan on the court when we played doubles with them.
Saturday........lepaked with my one and only cutey nephew....then had a super lunch with bro and family and not forgetting nina, isha and janice. The waiter kept on serving us...asking us to try this curry..and that curry...haha...it was a satisfying meal. Then came back and tried my best to sleep...planned to go jogging but it was too hot(according to phoebs) but i just finally managed to sleep. Thats why i'm so awake now and semangated to blog. Anyway, i better go to sleep if not might just not wake up for church. So till the next post....ciaoooo....!!!!

Final Year

Half the semester is already over and there is only 1 1/2 months left before this semester ends. I can't believe how fast time is passing. The first half of the semester was pretty chill just before all the tests and assignments started piling up. The worst part when there was tests practically every other day for the past two weeks. This week is considered the "relax a BIT" week because once next week starts...all the 2nd part of the tests will begin. I guess that's the normal thing which we have been experiencing as student.
I attended my last TECHFLOW camp which was in Penang. The place where the sun was shining brightly until we had to sleep in the tents and the rain started to pour. Our tents almost flew away but i guess coz of the people sleeping in the tent made it more stable...haha. It was a good experience indeed. After camp, things started to set in back again. And the normal routine stuff continued.
The following weekend after camp was also another weekend which was awaited for. It was Joboy's wedding. It was the first time that I was going to be a bridesmaid so I was extremely excited about it. Skipped class on Friday(thanx to kavi).Oh oh..but he actually let me drive his new car. Then summore told me that if i dare can drive at 180...(i think he didn't expect me to do it coz he was sleeping like a baby). Got back to Kuantan early to do some last minute shopping...you know how it is before a wedding...getting last minute stuff like earrings...nail polish...high heels...hehehe...It was fun coz get to shop with mummy dearest. On the day of the wedding, it was a mad rush because had to do my hair and beautify myself before going to church...haha..yea yea. I know syok sendiri but wat to do..sekali-sekala only can be a bridesmaid so much look pretty..:). The wedding was beautiful...the bride looked gorgeous. And the groom looked really happy...I think he was happy that the day has finally arrived. The church was decorated with flowers which matched the theme, maroon and creame. So it all looked pretty...
Then it was back to uni and BACK to reality. Back to all the quizzes and tests and assignments...and yada yada yada....till the next post...ciaoo....

Internship

7th April 2008- My first day of Industrial training. I was excited to start at the same time I was like...."awww mann" i have to work...which means i can't bum around this holidays....haha.. During morning briefing(by the way i start work at 8am!!) , my supervisor Kak Atie introduced me to all my collegues. I was of course "shy" haha...but they are all super friendly...and they are ALL GUYS!!! I should have expected that rite?Working in a plant...won't be seeing much gals around. There are pros and cons about that.
Anyway my first day passed pretty fast because it was mostly about introducing me to all the people I would have to communicate with to get my reports done. Everyone shocked to see a gal Mechanical Engineer...haha..not something new rite??. haha...But on my 2nd day, I was brought to the production plant...just a brief walk through it..And i just couldn't take my eyes off how they assemble the car...From the minor parts to the major parts....awesooooooommmmeee!!! I never imagined it to be this cool!! so much of detail put into everything. I guess that's the price you pay for a Mercedes. But my excitement for the day didnt end there...my boss then took me to ride in a new C200K!! You can say it was freshly baked from the oven...aahhaha..cun lah.
Its been a week here....and its excitement after excitement....and also some moments where i got nothing to do also...but its fun coz everyone here keeps me entertained. And they are ever so willing to explain everything. I'm just glad to be here. I'm sure there's more to come..i will try to update from time to time....Oh oh yesterday after lunch, my cute German boss asked me whether I'm okay....haha...he said im so quiet...can you believe it???hahhaa...have to maintain lar kan?can't be kecohing here the 1st week itself...:P. The one thing i'm looking forward to this weekend is to come to kl....hehe...and also on friday i'll be following my boss to a seminar which he is conducting...haha..so must look pretty!!!hehehe..ok people...till the next blue moon!! ciao!!

p/s: I still haven't had my shower since i got back from work..ewwww...:P

The Best Gift Ever

Aren't they pretty???
The Christmas season is over and the major celebration of ushering the New Year 2008 is also over and now we are back to reality....tests...quizzes....assignments....projects....the usual things we have to go through each semester.

Why am i blogging today??Its because yesterday I received the best gift ever..:). I was suprised by Mark and Daniel(my two favourite juniors)...who are still single by the way and not so available..hahaha..They are the two guys who never fail to make me laugh when i am with them. Its a joy having them around especially when I am able to bully one of them constantly(guess who?)...hmmm....why am i promoting them??

Anyway, they got me this pair of high heels which i tried on some time back in one of the shopping malls which I LOVED..Basically,it is not about how much it cost or what the gift was. BUT it is the best gift because it really touched me about how attentive they are about my likes and dislikes. And how they perfectly planned it and suprised me. I was really amazed...and i had no words to say. All I know that I am thankful to have such wonderful people in my life(its not just coz they gave me something k). I don't know what i would do without this kinda people to spice up my life. All in all I am just glad that i met the both of you.Thank you for everything!!! Love you guys!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Okay...yea i haven't been blogging...haha...been really really really busy. Anyway latest happenings was our awesome Christmas Nite(shock sendiri-ing here!!)...haha.. I think together everyone put a SUPERB show...By God's grace we managed to do all this. All the ups and downs during the preparations, God was indeed there....every step we made, He guided us. Its so amazing!!! Just want to take this opportunity to congratulate the Christmas nite comm...cast and crew and of course the 2ppl who made it possible our beloved musical directors Agnes and Edwin...you guys are the BEST!!! so much fun!!

After that, everyone was excited about getting back home for christmas...skipping all the classes just to get a longer break. Haha!! Some nerds even wanted to come back for monday class and go back again on monday to celebrate christmas. GILER!!! I can't believe that I'm back in uni so early, should be lepaking at home but i'm comforting myself coz i will be goin back for new year.

Christmas Eve was awesome this year...wide spread of food...(suresh u missed it!). I think above all was just the time,we as a family spent. It was so meaningful..something special about it. I think it has been a LONG LONG time since we sat as a family and had a meal. In the midst of the preparation, we managed together and "hang out". I really miss those times...

As for me, I'm back in uni...indeed glad to see phoebs...had lotsa cerita to tell her...haha. I know phoebs weird dream...haha. Anyway hope you all have a BLESSED CHRISTMAS!!!

Disguise

Disguise - Lene Marlin

Have you ever felt some kind of emptiness inside
You will never measure up, to those people you
Must be strong, can't show them that you're weak
Have you ever told someone something
That's far from the truth
Let them know that you're okay
Just to make them stop
All the wondering, and questions they may have

I'm okay, I really am now
Just needed some time, to figure things out
Not telling lies, I'll be honest with you
Still we don't know what's yet to come

Have you ever seen your face,
In a mirror there's a smile
But inside you're just a mess,
You feel far from good
Need to hide, 'cos they'd never understand
Have you ever had this wish, of being
Somewhere else
To let go of your disguise, all your worries too
And from that moment, then you see things clear

I'm okay, I really am now
Just needed some time, to figure things out
Not telling lies,
I'll be honest with you
Still we don't know what's yet to come

People appear to be in your life for a reason. They are either the people who give advice to you, people who are just there to listen to you, people who are there to go crazy with you and of course people who are there simply because they love you. In times of trouble or difficulties you fail to see the people who are sincerely there for you and end up hurting them instead. Its only humane because we are so cought up with our problems that we forget to stop and look at what good is around us. Everything happens for a reason. God puts us in different situations so that we learn from it and be a better person. Its not easy....in fact its never easy BUT one day we will be clear why it happened in this way. I'm still working my way through it. There are many questions but its not gonna be questioned anymore. I'm going to take it and put it some place distant from me...some place where I don't have to go to anymore....some place where I don't have to look back and have regrets on. And when I'm done with it, thats when I return to reality.
